What is the cost for medical foot care?
- Treatment costs can vary based on individual requirements
- Please contact us by phone to arrange a consultation
- VISA, Mastercard, Debit and Cash are accepted as payment
What should I bring to my appointment?
- A list of any current medications
- Any frequently worn footwear (we can inspect footwear for any issue that may be causing problems with your feet)
What is included in the appointment?
- Foot cleanse
- Gait assessment
- Footwear assessment
- Lower limb circulation assessment
- Callus removal (if required)
- Corn removal (if required)
- Toenail trimming
- Filing of thickened toenails
- Ongoing education about foot and health care
How long does the appointment take?
- Initial appointments may take up to 1 hour
- Subsequent appointments will range from 30 to 45 minutes
Do you direct bill to insurance companies?
- No, we do not direct bill to insurance companies
- Receipts are given for each appointment, and the clients are responsible for reimbursement of their funds by the insurance company
- Please have your family practitioner write a script for “foot care by nurse”
Do you do callus & corn removal?
Yes, we will remove all corns and calluses at no extra charge during your appointment.
Can you manage ingrown toenails?
Yes, we can manage minor ingrown toenails.
Do you accept clients with high risk feet?
Yes, we specialize in clients with chronic conditions such as diabetes, peripheral vascular/arterial disease, ulceration, suppressed autoimmune systems and partial amputations.
How do you sterilize your instruments?
- We have gold standards for sterilization of the equipment used for EACH appointment which include biological and chemical indicators in addition to the autoclave sterilization process
What qualifications do your staff have?
- Staff members are nurses with advanced foot care qualifications
- We routinely participate in ongoing additional training
Do you polish?
- No, we do not polish
- Our focus is on healthy, clean, chemical free nails
Do you do house calls?
- Yes, within Windsor/Tecumseh/LaSalle
Do you do hospital calls?
- No, currently we do not offer hospital calls
